In the German tradition of a three-year apprenticeship program, Andrea started her artistic career early in life. In the late1980's, commercial art projects brought her to North Carolina, where she became a US citizen. She developed a strong sense of detecting talents in other artists and today is dedicated to advising others. Andrea originated the Summer Academy of Coburg, today in its 12th year. These academy workshops bring together art lecturers and students from the region of Northern Bavaria as well as from many other locales.

Her work has been shown in the United States and at various places throughout Europe,  such as Munich in 2001 and  the National Museum of Klausenburg in 2009.

She actively exhibits and shows her own work, as well as designs and organizes shows for others. She creates concepts for businesses, corporations, expositions, and art events. The advertising agency Background Medien Und Design, she owns and runs in Coburg, Germany, is associated with Exhibits to Show in North Carolina.

She divides her time between Northern Bavaria and High Point, North Carolina.
Andrea and Rob have worked together for over 2 decades and both offer much creativity and insight to any type of exhibition.
